As a venue, the Ice Restaurant itself is a unique experience and the delicious meals prepared
from local ingredients perfect this lifetime experience you will never forget.
In the Ice Restaurant the main meals are served in foil bunches, where they are also slow
cooked, allowing the flavors to infuse.
Culinary enjoyment commences with a rich tomato soup served with fresh French bread and
is finished off with the delicious blueberry pie, which in line with the theme is served on a
magnificent ice platter with vanilla mousse. We guarantee it tastes as good as it looks!

There are a number of main meal alternatives to choose from:
1. LEPPÄMIES
This is authentic local cuisine. This menu was first served at the SnowHotel in January
2012. After only its first season this menu has become a classic that we proudly serve to
you! We named this menu after the ancient hunting god of the indigenous Sámi.
Roast elk of the village men, season’s vegetables and sliced potatoes. Cooked and served
in a foil bunch where the meal gets flavour in a delicious wine sauce.

2. SAAGA
The picturesque Lake Lehtojärvi has been a popular fishing ground since almost the
beginning of time and the fishermen were often regarded as being the heroes of the
village, of which tales are still being told. To respect this fishing tradition, we have
selected this tasty salmon dish for our menu.
Salmon stewed in ripened cream, season’s vegetables and sliced potatoes sizzling away
in the foil bunch as it comes straight from the oven.

3. AURORA
Crispy corn crumb encrusted chicken breast served with a tasty cheese sauce and sunny
rice

4. TAIGA
The perfect vegetarian alternative is created when the season’s vegetables are left to
cook in mozzarella sauce and served with sliced potatoes.
